 The packaged units work on a media based biological degradation. The specifically developed media made from UV stabilized and chemically resistant propylene offers an ideal condition for growth of micro organisms to degrade the incoming organic contaminants. The process air required is provided by means of twin lobe type air blower which transfers air through rugged EPDM diffusers. The media also substantially reduces the sludge generation from these units.

  • Aeration tank: A mechanical aeration system is adopted in the tank for growth of biomass which are easily coagulates suspended and dissolved particle.
  • Bio reactor: Where biomass is developed in aerobic condition.
  • Lamella filtration: After aeration of effluent, it allows to further settling with certain contact time.
  • Gradually all solids matter deposits at the bottom while the liquid water passed to PSF
  • Pressure sand filter (PSF): Used to remove suspended impurities from the water.
  • Activated carbon filter (ACF): De-odorize any smell in the water.
  • UV/chlorination disinfection: After de-odorizing of water, it is disinfected by either UV (ultraviolet radiation) or with chlorine. So that all types of micro-organisms, pathogens are killed before going to further use.
  • Final water discharge: The discharged water is used for various purpose like, gardening, cleaning, irrigation, car washing

Dual Media Filter contain anthracite along with fine sand reinforced by marbled and gravels. These filter consist of a coating of anthracite (1.25-2.5 mm) resting on a coating of fine sand (1-1.5 mm) Anthracite is coarse and has more dirt holding capacity as compared to fine sand. Dual media filters are used in places where the raw water contains suspended contaminants, turbidity and iron. Dual media filters provide very efficient particle removal under the conditions of high filtering system amount. These filters use layers of anthracite and garnet contaminants as the filter medium, with filtering system amount of 98% down to 2 microns.
